SANRAI International
SANRAI International is a non-profit medical distribution company working to increase access of medical respiratory devices to underdeveloped countries. Currently, they are in 65 different underdeveloped countries with 6 international headquarters. We are working with them to improve their business plan to pitch to venture capitalists, work on their IPO to go public within the next four years, and finally market research to help acquire different manufacturing plants in respective countries.
Scrubbers
Scrubbers is a dog-washing company based in metro-Detroit offering a vast array of services for dogs and cats, including professional dog and cat grooming services, nail trimming for dogs and cats, and dog walking. In this project, team members will work on improving user experience along with conducting financial analysis.
OKB Hope Foundation
OKB Hope is a healthcare nonprofit organization that provides transformative healthcare services and life-saving solutions to underserved Ghanaians. We are improving the quality of lives of underserved Ghanaians by delivering innovative healthcare solutions and providing access to essential medical services.
Monetryx
IBC was working with Monetryx, a cloud-based platform that fosters relationships between entrepreneurs and early-stage investors, providing technology solutions for the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The project consists of conducting market research on competing platforms and systems that are currently in place to connect founders with investors at Cornell University. IBC will research how university entrepreneurship centers handle certain administrative processes currently and draw a list of the key inefficiencies that Monetryx would be interested in addressing.
Profound Commerce
Profound Commerce is a brand holding company that buys, operates and grows leading direct-to-consumer brands with a major presence on Amazon and other online channels. The company implements leading product development, marketing and operational practices to help its portfolio companies' profitably grow. IBC's project will entail conducting market research on emerging online brands and developing market entry strategies to Amazon’s virtual marketplace. Additionally, IBC will assist Profound Commerce in better understanding consumer purchasing intent, competing with existing organizations in secondary markets, and exploring the possibility of international expansion
MoCAT
IBC was working with a nonprofit economic and consulting research group, on a project for one of their clients, MOCAT. MOCAT is a Zambian consulting firm whose primary service is a startup incubator program serving aspiring agro-entrepreneurs and providing them with general corporate training. The team will be specifically be assisting with the development of their new Village Bank Partnership Program, which aims to facilitate partnerships between these entrepreneurs and local banks.
Valens Research
Valens Research is a global investment services firm that encompasses several unique investment research and services boutiques. These include Valens Equities, Valens Credit, and Valens Associates. Philanthropy and community well-being are core tenets of Valens Research and all of its divisions. Valens is known for their unique Uniform Adjusted Financial Reporting Standards (UAFRS) framework which aims to create more reliable reporting of corporate financial activity. Over the course of the semester, we had helped Valens conduct investment research, primarily on the equity side, on long/short equity strategies
